Special Offer for January and February 2012!

We will start 2012 with a special offer - free analysis of Reference/Virgin oil samples in January and February.

*To qualify you'll need to send a chargeable used oil sample for every Virgin oil sample to be tested (this is not necessary for customers sending over 100 samples annually - you can just send the reference oils in free of charge, this includes any in the usual schedules).

T&Cs for the Virgin oil offer. Samples must be clearly labelled as Virgin, New or Reference oil with the oil type clearly identified (if in doubt include a brief cover letter and some contact details). Analysis included will be the standard package suitable for application (e.g. package A for gear oils, package B for hydraulics and package E for engine oils, standard grease test package for reference greases). The offer will run through January and February to allow you to take advantage without disrupting your sampling schedules. Depending on the take up for this offer the turn around time for the promotional samples may be slightly longer than the usual 2 days target. A common sense fair usage policy will be applied and we reserve the right to withdraw the offer in special circumstances. This offer is not applicable to oil blenders/manufacturers for obvious reasons (however if you would like to try out STS analysis services please contact us).

What's in it for you - a free audit of your new oils (compare formulation to oils in service, check for contamination with water or dirt, check for signs of ageing in storage and compliance with spec, identify labeling errors). More informative analysis of regular and one-off samples if compared against an appropriate reference oil. Identify any irregularities in oils specified and those actually in use.

What's in it for us - we hope to build up our record of new oils, helping us compare results to some baseline figures, improving the quality of analysis. We are also hoping for a few extra oil samples and some extra happy customers!

What's the catch? There is none!
