I came across this article on bottle cleanliness while catching up with the latest articles.
Our standard issue bottles have repeatedly tested as satisfactory for cleanliness levels, and our ability to repeatedly generate consistently clean results on monthly samples from clean systems confirms it. The Patch Test Method used also offers another line of defence as we are actually able to see the contaminants and would have a better chance of spotting bottle related issues than if simply a particle count was recorded.
However where cleanliness levels are particularly critical we are able to offer laboratory cleaned glass bottles, which are rinsed with filtered solvent as the last step of the cleaning process. These are sufficiently clean to return values of the order of 10/9/6 from our particle counter. So if you expect and require extreme cleanliness from your fluids talk to us about laboratory cleaned bottles.
